Our Process
Our goal at J&J Transportation is to give excellent service to our customers for a very competitive price. We do this by marrying two or three and sometimes four LTL or volume LTL shipments from multiple customers onto one load. The load then moves direct from our dock to the consignees’ docks without being transferred at a break bulk or at a destination terminal to city delivery trucks. The delivery is made directly from the road unit. This allows the shipments we handle to arrive at their destination quickly and in the same condition they were tendered to J&J. Our claim ratio is less than .001 by revenue. In order for us to be successful in our efforts, we must have excellent relationships with dependable carriers. We nurture these relationships while working closely with our carriers by making appointments with the consignees, determining any special needs for delivery, providing phone numbers for the consignees, all prior to loading the carrier. This contributes to seamless, trouble free deliveries. We greatly value our relationships with our carriers and show this by including fuel surcharge on all loads. We also offer carrier advances, quick pay, terminal pay and fourteen day settlements. J&J’s payment processes are the best in the industry. While we strive to be perfect, there are times when deliveries do not go as arranged. We pride ourselves on quick and fair resolution to problems. We do this by working directly with the shipper, consignee and carrier to make sure that all are treated fairly and we strive for all to be satisfied.
